Antelope Canyon has lower canyon and upper canyon. They are several miles apart. The famous sun beam photos mostly were taken in upper canyon. If you travel there in winter, like I did, usually you won't be able to see the sun beams becasue the position of the sun is relatively lower. You will need to go with a guided tour to visit upper canyon.
The lower canyon is equally amazing but less crowded. You do not need a tour guide to go there. Do not miss it.
