This is a very nice park. It is not too big but rock formations are fascinating. We hiked a loop about 8 to 9 miles including Echo Canyon Trail, Upper Rhyolite Canyon Trail, Sarah Demming Trail, Heart of Rocks Loop, Big Balanced Rock Trail, Mushroom Rock Trail and Ed Riggs Trail. The best parts are the first part of Echo Canyon Trail and the Heart of Rocks Loop.
The best sunset place should be Massai Point but unfortunately we missed it. When we got there after finishing the hike, the sun had already been down. This is also a good place for sunrise. When the first light hit the Balanced Rock, the golden color was gorgeous.
