On Oct 8, 2023, we climbed the Four Gables in the Desolation area, Eastern Sierra. On the first day, we hiked from Piute Pass trailhead to Desolation Lake. Although the trail was not steep, it was long. On the second day, we summited the Four Gables. It was easy class one hike to the summit. It took us 3 hours up and 2 hours down. The view on the summit was incredible. On the same day, we hiked back to the trailhead. It was a great weekend trip!

On top of Four Gables, looking east, we can see Upper and Lower Horton Lakes.

The last section to summit. We have to walk across two snow fields.

Desolation Lake and background mountains. As ascending, the view became better and better.
