Maroon Bells is good to be visited at fall season for the colors, usually the 3rd or 4th week in September. I was there at September 24, 2016, a Saturday morning. I'd like to warn you how popular this place is. Sunrise time was 7am. When I got there around 5:30am, there had been already tons of photographers standing along the shore line. It was almost impossible to find a spot to set up my tripod! Unfortunately, there was no sunrise that morning.
