Sunrise near Pear Lake | The photo was taken on the trail between Emerald Lake and Pear Lake in an overnight backpacking trip. The trail passes 4 alpine lakes, Heather Lake, Aster Lake, Emerald Lake and Pear Lake. Those lakes themselves did not impress me, however. There are two picturesque places I'd recommend. One is the Watchtower between Wolverton trailhead and Heather Lake. But there is no campsite near by. So it is hard to take either sunset or sunrise photos. Another good spot is the one in this photo, between Emerald Lake to Pear Lake. Campsites are available at both Emerald Lake and Pear Lake.
